(September 18, 2012) -- St. Mary's University College's second annual Ghost Tour attracted men, women, boys and ghouls from near and far this year.
Pre-registration for the tour filled fast, with a capacity crowd of 400 chill-seekers gathering under a warm September sky for an unforgettable evening.
Students, alumni, faculty and staff worked together to create eight scary scenarios, some of which depicted suspected ghost sightings and others reflecting the long and often mysterious past of the St. Mary's site in South Calgary.
Written by Eugene Stickland and directed by Marilyn Potts, the vignettes brought back memories of the days when the campus was a home for orphans and the elderly, run by Fr. Albert Lacombe and the Sisters of Providence.
The evening wrapped up with birthday cupcakes (St. Mary's University College is now 26!), and a spectacular fireworks display.
We love telling stories from our past, and welcome you back to the Ghost Tour next year. Register early!
