Knights of Columbus Exceed Fund-Raising Goal

McGivney Hall has benefited from donations from the Knights of Columbus

A $10,000 donation(August 26, 2011) -- A $10,000 donation from the Alberta-Northwest Territories Knights of Columbus Alberta Charitable Foundation, represented by Chairman Bob Kruchten (centre), has put the McGivney Hall fund-raising effort over the top. Mr. Kruchten was joined by Leo Bunz (left), Chairman of the Knights of Columbus McGivney Hall fund-raising committee, to present the cheque to St. Mary's President Gerry Turcotte (right).

The McGivney Hall fund-raising committee set out to raise $220,000 for renovations of the former Midlands United Church. A revised goal of $245,000 has now been exceeded with this most-recent donation. Over the years, the Knights of Columbus have donated $1 million to St. Mary's University College.
