new student orientation breaks the ice
(September 4, 2012) -- Student orientation at St. Mary's University College helped banish first-day jitters for many new students today.
About 160 incoming students were warmly welcomed by faculty and staff, played games to break the ice, toured the campus and enjoyed a barbecue. They also learned about the many resources on campus and the importance of academic honesty.
After getting their student ID cards, paying fees and perhaps playing a quick game of bocce, the students were off to enjoy the rest of the day before Fall term begins September 5.
