All registered students are members of St. Mary’s University College Students' Association which is governed by the elected Student Legislative Council (SLC). The SLC represents the student body to the faculty and administration of St. Mary’s and also facilitates student clubs, activities and special events such as the Black and White Formal.

The SLC is responsible for providing leadership to the student body, listening to students’ concerns and facilitating a sense of community among students. Visit the Student Association building on campus to meet SLC members and learn how to get involved.
